How should you administer first aid to a person involved in an accident?

In case of bleeding, you should if possible lay the injured person down. If there is nothing in the wound, apply firm pressure to it using a clean cloth or bandage. Do NOT remove embedded objects from the wound as it may increase the bleeding and worsen the injury.
