Tim Waldenback

Co-Founder, Zutobi — curriculum engagement

Fun fact: Builds LEGO with his kids and takes it more seriously than they do.

About Tim

Tim Waldenback co-founded Zutobi in 2018 and specializes in curriculum engagement: how a lesson is structured, paced and gamified so students actually finish it.

Why he is an authority on curriculum engagement

Engagement is the part of driver education most curricula ignore. Tim helped build the Zutobi course, which runs on short video lessons, interactive simulations, immediate practice after each topic, spaced repetition, and the points, levels and streaks.

That work is the same course driving schools teach from inside Zutobi Instructor, which is why the classroom material behaves like something students keep using rather than a slide deck. He has written about building learning products for Authority Magazine.
